Seda Camalan

Dr. Seda Camalan is a postdoctoral fellow in the Computer Science Department at Wake Forest University and working on a NASA project to process, investigate remote sensing images by using artificial intelligence methods. She spent 2 years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Biomedical Informatics at Wake Forest School of Medicine and worked on multiple bioinformatics projects. She received her PhD from Atilim University in Turkey in 2018 and studied artificial intelligence techniques on biometric data including images and coordination information of people. Dr. Camalan focuses on developing artificial intelligence and image processing techniques for biomedical and remote sensing images in different modalities to solve classification, segmentation, and image retrieval problems.
